To understand the market Cupertino is getting into a little better, I spoke with Rolf Illenberger, managing director of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vrdirect.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VRdirect<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Illenberger&#8217;s company builds VR software for enterprise clients such as Siemens, Porsche, and Nestle. He believes Apple\u2019s decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.applemust.com\/apple-delays-reality-plans-wwdc-unveil-report-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">enter the market now<\/a> (presumably at next month&#8217;s Worldwide Developer Conference) reflects a desire to stake a claim in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3693254\/apples-new-patent-hints-at-powerful-video-collaboration-tools.html\">enterprise VR space<\/a>, as it\u2019s too early yet to make a consumer play.
